Note: From 1985 to 1989, Blaine Harden was bureau chief for the ‘Washington Post’ in sub-Saharan Africa. Born in the state of Washington, he received his masters degree in newspaper journalism from Syracuse University. He won the Livingston Award for feature writing in 1987. He is now East European bureau chief for the ‘Washington Post’, based in Poland.
This is not only a fascinating book, full of insightful information, it is also difficult to find. It is in almost new condition despite its age although it does have some expected wear and tear, this being minor. It is an attractive book and a collectors’ gem
