Long Drive Through A Short War
Peter Wilson
The author and photographer John Feder were among the few unembedded journalists during the 2002 Iraq War. They roamed around southern Iraq, but were then subjected to house arrest in Baghdad, where they continued to file reports in secret, and later arranged the evacuation of the horribly wounded little boy, Ali Abbas.
Thousands of Foreign Journalists around the world covered the war that toppled Saddam Hussein. Only one correspondent, Peter Wilson of The Australian, managed to report independently on both the invasion of Southern Iraq and thew last days in Baghdad of Saddam’s 24 year rule.
This is a very special book and deserves pride of place on a collectors’ shelves. It appears to be out of print. THis copy is in top condition except for some creases through cover that do not spoil the look.
